Montague South Melbourne

Meet your mates after a race in this old corner pub with new life. Just a stone’s throw away from the F1 tracks, The Montague is a perfect stop for its modern and affordable food in a relaxed neighbourhood eatery environment. Don’t miss the hearty Sunday roast!

This inviting beachy spot is brightly lit with wicker chairs indoors and resort-style umbrella shaded seats on the sidewalk. On top of the 90-pax capacity, that makes it high on our list for pre or post race coffee breaks. Expect nourishing plates such as a duck waffle and the superfood salad made famous by their predecessor Moby

The Sporting Globe

With 22 locations under their belt, The Sporting Globe has well earned their moniker for Australia’s no.1 sports bar. You’re always close to the action—the venue prioritises screens for big games and the F1 Grand Prix is no exception. If you need some time off the tracks, swing by the nearest location at Richmond to keep track of the race over pub classics.

L' Hotel Gitan

Nestled in the heart of Prahran, this casual restaurant bar with smart art deco vibes serves simple French-inspired fare that will win you and your date over. For freshly shucked oysters and a solid steak au poivre to cap off an exciting day at the tracks, keep this booking in your backpocket.

Ricardo's Trattoria

The F1 Grand Prix is often a family affair, so keep it that way with a short trek to the welcoming Ricardo’s for traditional Italian heritage recipes and hearty portions. Open 7 days a week, whether you’re hungry for chianti, calamari or polpettine, this trattoria has plenty on the menu to try.

Bar Bianco

Inspired by European romance, this Italian all-day 35-seater wine bar is befitting for a low-key, intimate excursion after the race. The well-designed menu features bites built around the hibachi, a charcoal grill for a flame-kissed touch. Don’t let the small portions fool you; they deliver big on flavours to go with the opulent cocktails.

Omen Restaurant

A fairly new Albert Park favourite, this local bistro makes wining and dining a breeze with its classy space, warm hospitality and years of experience behind the kitchen and bar. The seasonal menu features fresh local produce, so look forward to curated treats like the St. Andrews Cheddar served with a Pear bakewell tart and lavosh.

La Cabra Mexican

A 15-minute drive away from the tracks, La Cabra is the venue to book if you’re up for a little lunch party in between race schedules. There’s always great vibes in here, and their banger tacos and margaritas will keep you buzzing with enough adrenaline for the rest of the race day.

Park Pantry

Another South Yarra entry, bookmark this Euro-style cafe for a breakfast pitstop if you’re driving down to the tracks from the northeast. The petite spot is big on toasted sandwiches and freshly baked pastries, plus coffee courtesy of Industry Beans. Decked out in a Paris Metro-reminiscent green and white palette, count on the Park Pantry to give your morning a little boost.

Flying Duck Hotel

Whether you’re thirsty for happy hour schooners or hungry for spot-on fish and chips (or both!), Flying Duck Hotel is well stocked with options for the whole group—even your doggos in tow.
