Looking for the perfect place to eat in Perth? Whether you’re a local foodie or just visiting, the city of light has plenty to offer. From chic bistros to sun-kissed eateries, Now Book It explores seven standout venues for the season. Get ready to book a table or two.
1. The Little Bay
What better way to kick off our Perth spotlight than a bright, beaming restaurant on the coast? Take in the beauty of the bay while digging into fluffy pancakes indoors — it’s still winter after all but there’s no stopping us when it comes to a luxe brekky, plus an all-day coffee window.
Location: 33 West Coast Drive, Watermans Bay 6020
Hours: Mondays to Thursday 6:30am – 3:30pm, Fridays to Sundays 6:30am – 4pm
2. The Heritage
With its tall ceilings and mid-modern fit out, Heritage harks to an upmarket night out in style. This is a brasserie that boasts a hundred-strong wine list so come prepared to pop open a bottle or two. The first-class wine pairings are the only way to enjoy this stellar menu starring house-baked bread with fermented butter, smoked beetroot tartare speckled with black garlic and their sustainably line-caught seafood selections. It’s also one of the rare venues that pull late-nighters for drinks till midnight, so night owls take note!
Location: 131 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000
Hours: Mondays to Saturdays 12-9pm; Bobèche cocktail bar open till midnight, Sundays closed
3. Bib & Tucker
There’s no talking about dining by the beach without a mention of North Fremantle’s Bib and Tucker! The inviting ambience inside is great for group dinners but when it’s clear out, make this meal an event outside on the beautiful balcony. Expect modern Australian fare featuring the freshest ingredients that get an update every season, from wood-fired Abrolhos Island scallops to winter truffle and mushrooms.
Location: 18 Leighton Beach Blvd, North Fremantle WA 6159
Hours: Wednesdays to Sundays 8am-10pm, Mondays and Tuesdays closed
4. Rose and Crown
With its historic Guildford charm and old-world Georgian character, Rose and Crown Hotel is certainly the pride of Perth’s pub scene. Come for the bangin’ pub grub — think smoked chicken parmigiana and woodfired pizzas — and stay for the lush atmosphere afforded by greenery on the doorstep of Swan Valley vineyards.
Location: 105 Swan St, Guildford WA 6055
Hours: Mondays to Saturdays 11am-10pm, Sundays 8am-10pm
5. Steves
Fact: Steves is an institution. Housed in the old Nedlands Hotel, the open space is now decked out with a full bar and patio area, plus one of Western Australia’s most treasured wine cellars. More good news — there’s plenty of plates to go with it. Kerrigan Valley sirloin appears on this menu next to katsu chicken nori rolls, living up to its claim to local cuisine with a touch of Japanese influence.
Location: 30 The Avenue, Nedlands WA 6009
Hours: Daily 8am-11pm
6. Odyssea
A quick 15-minute drive from the CBD affords you Odyssea’s sublime City Beach views. For al fresco afternoons, this 300-seater has sunshine, drinks – coffee or cocktails, no judgement here! — and bustling beachside vibes to offer. The contemporary Aussie cuisine menu pays homage to local producers and seasonality. You’re spoiled for choice; from a solid big breakfast in the mornings to fish and chips for lunch and chicory Kangaroo fillet for dinner.
Location: 187 Challenger Parade, City Beach WA 6015
Hours: Daily from 7am
7. C Restaurant
Perched on top of Perth’s best views, Western Australia’s favourite revolving restaurant is the premier place to bring your date —or the party— out for a spin. The degustation menu spells fine indulgence, from a light and bright kingfish ceviche to rich and hearty Margaret River Wagyu paired with matching wines. With the cityscape and a wonderfully attentive team gently moving around you, this meal will be standout.
